This pattern is a part of my thesis project Homeland Collection, which is a collection of five knitting patterns designed for the wool of Finnish landrace breeds. The whole collection is also available as an eBook.

Homeland socks have a small cables and texture on the front of the sock. The back of the sock is reverse stockinette, and to avoid purling the socks are worked inside out. The socks are knit cuff-down and feature a variation of a strong heel. The front panel is both charted and written. The pattern is written for magic loop, but can be worked with dpns as well.
