I had a growing stash of handspun yarn that I was unsure what to do with. Such beautiful colors and textures, but how to show them off without losing the unique qualities each had? This shawl was my answer.

Beautiful in it’s simplicity, it allows the colors and the texture of the yarn to shine through. It works exceptionally well with long color changes, but any handspun will look beautiful. Written to allow you the ability to use every last yard of your yarn, you can stop at any point in the pattern.

I’ve written a brief tutorial included with the pattern on how to choose the best needle size for your yarn. You can use any weight yarn from fingering to super bulky.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Handspun yarn, any weight. A minimum of 250 yards is recommended. Less yarn will yield a scarf like piece while more yardage will create a shoulder covering shawl. (Models were made with approx. 450 yds)

Needles:
32” circular in size appropriate for your yarn. The pattern will walk you through choosing the best size.

Notions: tapestry needle for weaving ends.
