Hometown Cowl
About: I designed this cowl right before making a 1200 mile move. The yarn had been purchased to make a cowl for my mom, and I couldn’t find the “right” pattern that I was looking for online. My mom deserved something warm and cushy, and half fisherman’s rib was the right choice. Off to the designing board I went, and what you see here is the result.
This cowl is a quick and easy knit, only utilizing knit and purl stitches, slipped stitches, and knitting in the row below. It is perfect for gifting with holiday deadlines looming, or if you are looking for a delightfully squishy way to use up that super bulky yarn in your stash. Since it is knit flat with a two-row repeat and grafted, it is a mindless knit perfect for friendly gatherings or relaxing and watching a movie.
This thick, cushy cowl is provisionally cast on, knit flat in half fisherman’s rib and the ends are grafted together.
This pattern has been test knit and edited to ensure you have a clear and worry-free knitting experience.
