You’ll begin by knitting a simple ribbed cuff, then begin the leg, which features a decorative scene of scattered houses nestled in a seed stitch border. The leg and foot of your socks are in clean, easy stockinette, so that added pops of texture in the heel flap and seed stitch toe can have their moment and tie back into the cuff detail’s motif.

This pattern works wonderfully in variegated colorways with mid-level contrast, and I recommend this so your stockinette sections have texture through color, and your textured stitch sections won’t get lost in striping or contrasted yarns. Sizing: This pattern contains 2 sizes: a size 9” sock circumference, and a size 9” foot circumference. To determine the correct size for you, using a tape measure with your foot planted flat on the ground, measure the circumference of your foot just below your toes.
