I designed this Hat/Mitt Set to coordinate with my Honesty Shawl. I went back to Emma’s Yarns and picked up their Simply Spectacular DK for these. They carry Simply Spectacular Smalls which are perfect for adding smaller accents of colors to larger, the amount used is listed for each in the Pattern and below. I chose a folded Brim/Cuffs so there is no need to worry if your cast on will be too tight. I also added some fun welts to showcase your Accent Color. There is a video tutorial listed for help with the folded Brim/Cuffs as well as a photo tutorial for the Welts. I also took the guesswork out of measuring for a fitted hat, this is a slouchy style fit so no measuring! All of these little touches really make it a great fit for Gift Knitting.

FINISHED SIZE:
These are Older Child to Adult fit. You could easily go down a needle size or two for a Smaller Child, and go up for a Larger Adult, this will not effect the Pattern at all.
-I did block my Hat on a blown up balloon to relax the slouchy fit.
-The Mitts are designed as one Mitt that you knit two of so no specific Left or Right to worry about.

MATERIALS:
If you are making the SET and using Emma’s Simply Spectacular DK, you will need-
(2) Full Skeins of Main Color
(2) Smalls of Accent Color A
(1) Small of Accent Color B
The approx. amount of DK needed if you are not using Emma’s is-
Hat:
Main Color-77gr
Accent Color A-11gr
Accent Color B-4gr
Mitts:
Main Color-67gr
Accent Color A-12gr
Accent Color B-4gr
