Honey Bee Duo - Mama and Baby
These adorable little bees are a perfect size for little hands to play with and cuddle. Don’t their sweet expressions just make you smile? This listing includes instructions for BOTH bees.
Materials
Worsted Weight Yarn
3mm hook
Embroidery Floss: Black and white
2 - 6mm safety eyes for the small bee
2 - 9mm safety eyes for the large bee
Yarn needle, sewing needle, straight pins, safety pin, skewer for stuffing, needle nosed pliers to grab the needle when sewing pieces together.
Size
Made with the materials listed, the small bee is about 5.5” long (3.5” when not including the legs and antennas); and the large bee is about 8” long (5.25” when not including the legs and antennas). Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished products will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use.
• Using a thinner yarn and smaller hooks will yield smaller items. Using thicker yarn and larger hooks will result in larger items. An individual crocheter’s yarn tension can also be a factor in sizing as well.
Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help. Also feel free to contact me with any questions. I’ll be glad to help in any way I can.
