Honey Fig Cowl
The Honey Fig Cowl is designed to show off your most beautiful shades of yarn. It is Fair Isle and knit in the round using 5 different colors. I cheated in my yarn selection and used Sweetgeorgia Yarns Superwash Worsted Party of Five Mini-Skein Set Yarn in the Honey Fig grouping (hence the name of the cowl), which has 250 yards total of 5 shades, each with 50 yards. I did use slightly more yarn than was included in the pack…about 65 yards per each of the 5 colors, or 325 yards total for the whole cowl. If you want to be more economical than I was, use up your scraps of coordinating worsted weight colors to make this piece up in. This cowl knitted up to be 8 inches by 20 inches. The pattern includes written directions for the ribbed borders on each end, and a colored chart only for the stockinette stranded knitting in the middle. The chart can be used to alter the stitch count upwards or downwards if you are using a different weight yarn, but remember that your cowl will be different measurements than mine was if you choose to change weight in your yarn.
