A honey coloured tea cosy in a honeycomb stitch, complete with little bees.
The inspiration for this tea cosy is the last lines of Rupert Brooke’s famous poem ‘The Old Vicarage, Grantchester’ –
“Stands the church clock at ten to three and is there honey still for tea?”
These lines often go through my head on a wintery afternoon, when it’s cold outside and tea and knitting await!
The cosy is knit with the yarn held double, so that the fabric is good and thick and the tea stays hot.
