Honey from the Hive
by Rik Schell
This three-color fingering weight shawl pays tribute to our favorite pollinators. Hexagons are not the easiest shape to make in knitting, but this shawl finds multiple ways to create them. It also uses a version of Barbara Walker’s honeybee lace stitch, and of course the signature stripes of our bumbly friends.
Yarn requirements (fingering weight):
Yellow, 400 yards (100g)
White, 200 yards (50g)
Black, 200 yards (50g)
Kits available online via Purl’s Yarn Emporium’s. Find here.
