Berry Bear keeps warm on winter days in their Honey Hat and Scarf set. The hat and scarf are knitted in acrylic DK yarns which are machine-washable if your bear gets grubby on their adventures.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the hat and scarf are knitted on single pointed needles (not in the round). This free knitting pattern is for the hat and scarf only; the Berry Bear toy pattern is sold separately.

NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 6)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Hayfield Bonus DK in yellow and white; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/250m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
A pompom maker

SIZES
One size only - designed to fit Berry Bear; the hat is 13cm wide and 9cm tall and the scarf is 43cm long.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
