Honey Honey Honey
This beautiful triangular shawl combines garter stitch and three different honeycomb patterns to highlight the eye-catching colour changes of a gradient set.
Worked sideways as a bias-knit triangular shawl with a centred bottom tip makes it fun to knit and easy to wear.
The pattern contains complete written as well as charted instructions.
I hope you enjoy the pattern!
This pattern has been created in collaboration with Seven Sisters Arts and I had the great pleasure to work with one of her beautiful Meridian Gradient Sets for my sample.
SIZE OF SAMPLE
length along top edge: 213cm/83.8“
depth at centre: 54cm/21.3“
YARN
Designed for a fingering weight gradient set containing 6 colours. Allow approx. 155 yds / 142 m of each colour (total of approx. 900 yds / 823 m).
The pattern provides enough textural interest that it could also be worked in one colour only, or two colours (one for the garter sections and one for the honeycomb sections).
Yarn used for sample: Seven Sisters Arts, 1 Meridian Gradient Set (fingering weight, 180g = 900 yds / 823 m) in colourway Marine Tonal Shift
GAUGE & NEEDLES
Not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample:20 sts x 38 rows = 10x10 cm / 4x4“ in garter stitch after blocking
Needles used for sample: 4mm / US 6
This pattern has been professionally tech edited and well testknitted. Thanks so much to my wonderful helpers for their invaluable help & feedback and beautiful knits!
