This is a pattern for a crochet baby hat (beanie) made with worsted weight yarn (category 4, aran) and size H/8 (5 mm) hook.

This hat is quick and easy to make; skill level is advanced beginner. Special stitches used in this pattern are puff stitches.
Depending on your color choice, you can make this hat for a baby boy or a baby girl.

The pattern is available in three sizes with the following finished measurements: newborn (about 12 inches in circumference and 5 inches in height) , 0-6 months (about 14 inches in circumference and 6 inches in height), 6-12 months (about 14 inches in circumference and 7 inches in height).

The amount of yarn needed is 50-100 yards depending on the size. The specific yarn that I used in Pound of Love by Lion Brand.
