This Dragonpine Designs pattern was designed by Cathy Frauts.

This adorable baby cardigan and hat set has an easy lace trim along the bottom, and a stockinette body. All pieces are knit separately and then seamed together at the end. The collar is knit last once the shoulder seams are joined (stitches are picked up from the WRONG SIDE, knit, and cast off so when the collar is folded down, the right side faces). The sweater is finished off with 6 half-inch buttons (same number of buttons regardless of size), and instructions for the hat are included on the last page. The lace eyelet section acts as natural ribbing at the sleeve edge and the hat border. Knit out of an easy to care for yarn, this set would make the perfect gift for a new parent!
