Honeycomb Blanket or Placemat
The HONEYCOMB Filet Crochet Blanket is an easy pattern that makes a classy and elegant blanket!
The PDF pattern includes a detailed 18-page tutorial with 70+ step-by-step photos to walk you through and show you exactly where to place your hook and stitch. The pattern includes instructions to make it ANY SIZE! The images are beneficial for a visual learner to make sure the stitch pattern looks right. It reads like a friend explaining how to make the blanket. The stitches used to make the blanket are: Chain, Single Crochet, and Double Crochet. A chart is included in the pattern for UK/AUS and includes crochet terms, yarn weights, and hook sizes. The photo tutorial can be viewed on your monitor or printed off. I make my patterns easy to understand to avoid the confusion of reading traditional patterns. I am specific and detailed in clarifying areas that can be tricky and give tips along the way. Instructions for the border included. The design is in US terms.
The placemat is made with 100% cotton yarn and measures 18” wide x 12.5” long. I used I Love This Cotton! Medium 4 weight yarn. It was a 3.5 oz. Skein. Color: Mint I used the recommended hook on the label “I-9 (5.5mm). This placemat used 3.2 oz. of yarn, so purchase one skein per placemat.
The blanket measures 50” wide x 54” long. I used Yarn bee Soft & Sleek Yarn. Medium 4 weight yarn. Each skein was 5 oz., and I used 7 skeins for a total of 35 oz. of yarn (I had a little bit left). Color: Pale Yellow I used the recommended hook on the label was “J-10 (5 mm).
