This has been one of my favorite patterns for many years. I love to tweak the number of stitches and/or the needle size to make the colors do their wave thing. The stitch pattern is a little tricky to learn, but there are plenty of video tutorials on Brioche stitch available that should be helpful. Once you learn the stitch you can fall into a great rhythm. Even my six-year-old could do it, and set the main motif “yarn over slip and knit two together” to the tune of “one Little Two Little Three Little Indians”!
