This pattern will show you how to make a simple yet elegant looking cowl featuring a honeycomb motif. The first section of the pattern includes an informal step-by-step photo tutorial of the honeycomb motif that is repeated to make the cowl. The second section of the pattern has the full written pattern in typical crochet notation. You can switch back and forth between the two as needed to help make the pattern as clear as possible.

I made mine using Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek DK in Dijon and an I (5.5 mm) hook. If you use another yarn, please check your gauge because the yarn I used seems to be lighter than a typical DK (almost more like a fingering weight). As written, the cowl is about 6” wide and 26.5” long, but you can easily adjust the size if needed. You’ll also need a tapestry needle to seam up the cowl at the end.
