The second hat is made from handspun yak/merino and works equally as well.

If you would like to make this in 2 colors (see the Carriage Slippers on my personal project page), simply work the first 4 rounds of the pattern in the main color and the second 4 rounds in the contrasting color. The main color will be drawn up through the contrasting color with the slipped stitches.
