This is an easy lace stitch to knit – it’s just a four row pattern, and decreases one stitch on every alternate row – which means it’s a great pub or bus knit. The honeycomb pattern traps the air which creates a warm shawl for winter evenings.

Yarn used Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend DK
Colour and Shade No 2446
Amount used 2 x 100 gram skeins
Tension 18 sts and 36 rows to 10cm x 10cm over honeycomb lace patt on 4.5mm needles.
Needles used 4.5mm straight and circular needles. (You will need the circular needle due to the large number of sts in the border)

Sizing 150cm (59in) at widest point, 56cm (22in) deep at centre.
