Honeymoon cardigan it’s an embodiment of both femininity and brevity. This design is an excellent example of discreet luxury. Much of the focus is upon the hourglass silhouette.

It is a basic model with a simple, elegant design which is going to become perfect edition to your wardrobe.
It’s perfect piece for windy summer days by the sea or chilly weather.

This piece is knitted top down using German short rows method and increases to shape shoulders and sleeves. The yoke and body are worked back and forth, sleeves are knitted in the round.

First of all you’re making two I-cords (for the neckline bow and the belt). Then you pick up stitches on the neck I-cord and knit back and forth with the increases to shape the shoulders. When increases are done you cast on for the armholes and separate sleeves and body and work stockinette flat. You finish the body and sleeves with an I-cord bind offs.

Please pay your attention: we’re using an I-cord maker to make neckline and belt I-cords. So you’ll need this I-cord maker (or any other tools you have) for making an I-cord.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL)

Positive ease: 12 cm (4.7”).
Size Guide: Honeymoon cardigan is designed to have 12 cm (4.7”) of positive ease. If you want more relaxed and oversized fit – choose a bigger size than recommended one.
For example
Centimeters: your bust is 96 cm: 96 cm+12=108 cm – your recommended size is L.
Inches: your bust is 37.8”: 37.8”+4.7”=42.5” – your recommended size is L.

Check out Ravelry photos of model who’s wearing her recommended size (Beige cardigan) and more oversized cardigans (White, Lavender)

Bust circumference of the garment:
Centimeters: 96 (100) 104 (108) 112 (116) 120 (124)
Inches: 37.8 (39.4) 40.9 (42.5) 44.1 (45.7) 47.2 (48.8)

Length (measured at the center back):
Centimeters: 58 (59) 59 (59) 60 (60) 61 (61)
Inches: 22.3 (23.22) 23.2 (23.2) 23.6 (23.6) 24 (24)
Sleeve length (measured from the neck to the cuff):

Inches: 28.3 (28.7) 29.13 (29.5) 29.5 (29.5) 29.5 (29.5)

Needles: 6.5 mm (10.5 US) and 7.00 mm (10.75 US) interchangeable circular needles with the cords 60/80/100 cm (24”/32”/40”).
I recommend using both needle sizes at once – so you’ll knit with 7.00 mm (10.75 US) needle on RS and purl with 6.5 mm (10.5 US) needle on WS. Or you can use only 7.00 mm (10.75 US) needles if that works better for you.

Gauge: 16 sts * 23 rows = 10 * 10 cm (4” * 4”) in stockinette using 7.00 mm (10.75 US) needles after blocking!
