Honung is a cozy pullover with a voluminous cowl neck to keep you warm in the fall breeze.

This raglan-sleeved pullover is worked from the top down in one piece. The low-dipped scoop neck makes the pullover comfortable to wear. The big cowl neck is knitted last, and adds an extra layer of warmth and coziness.

Waist and back shaping give this hip length pullover a figure-flattering hourglass shape. Hem, cuffs, and the cowl are worked in a simple eyelet lace. Worked in luscious single merino this is the go-to fall sweater you’ll grab from your closet again and again.

The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. Both written and charted instructions are given for the lace pattern.

The pullover is intended to be worn with approx. 5 cm / 2” positive ease at bust and 7.5 cm / 3” positive ease at the hip.

MATERIALS
Yarn

• Life in the Long Grass Merino Singles (100% superwash merino, 366 m/100 g), approx. 4 (5, 5, 5) [6, 6, 6] skeins. The sample is knitted in the colorway Harvest.
• Or fingering-weight yarn, approx. 1400 (1500, 1600, 1800) [1900, 2050, 2200] m / 1500 (1650, 1750, 1950) [2100, 2250, 2400] yd.

Needles

• 3.5 mm / US #4 long circular needle (80–100 cm / 32–40”) for stockinette (or size to obtain gauge)
• 2.5 mm / US #1½ long circular needle for the rolled edges
• 2.5 and 3.5 mm / US #1½ and #4 short circular needles (40 cm / 16”) for the cowl neck
• If not working in magic loop, double-pointed needles in the same sizes for the sleeves.

Notions

• 5 stitch markers
• Darning needle
• Spare needles for picking up sleeve stitches
• Waste yarn, extra cable, or circular needle for holding sleeve stitches

TECHNIQUES USED
The pattern uses the following techniques: long-tail cast-on, casting on in the middle of a row, working in the round, picking up stitches, eyelet lace, and rolled edges. Ability to work lace from a chart is recommended but written instructions are also provided for the eyelet lace pattern.

Tämä raglanhihainen pusero neulotaan ylhäältä alaspäin yhtenä kappaleena. Syvään uurretulle pääntielle neulotaan lopuksi suuri poolokaulus, johon on ihana kääriytyä.

Vyötärö- ja selkämuotoiluilla saadaan aikaan hienovarainen tiimalasivyötärö. Helmassa, hihansuissa ja kauluksessa neulotaan helppoa reikäpitsiä — muuten pusero on sileää oikeaa. Kauniisti laskeutuvasta sinkkumerinosta neulotusta puserosta tulee varmasti luottoneuleesi, joka on mukava vetää ylle.
