Difficulty level - easy.
This can be worked on any knitting machine, all manipulations are done by hand not using any software or perforated cards.
The yarn can be any merino wool, a soft yarn.
The sample was made using Harmony 2/30 by Lana Gatto with 6 strands of yarn held together.
What you will get when buying this pattern: a PDF file containing a complete description including stitch counts, row counts, decreases and increases, and detailed instructions for every row.
The pattern comes in 3 sizes: for children 12 months and up, 4 years and up, and adults.
It also contains links to an accompanying video (with English subtitles), in which you can watch me knitting this hood and explaining what needs to be done in this or that spot.

For happy owners of KnittStyler and DesignaKnit8 software, there are also ready to use patterns, which you can download using the links provided in the PDF.
After having worked from this pattern, in addition to having learned to machine knit a hood in any size from a pattern, you will have learned:
• to work a vertical band in one piece;
• join two pieces of knitted fabric as you go with an easy seam.

This will come in handy for machine-knitting custom-sized hats, and for many other purposes, too.
