Hooded Crochet Scarf
Once I made the Knit version of the hooded scarf several years ago, I had several ladies ask if I could do a Crochet Version. Here it is. Just like the knit version the Scarf is attached to the Hood so no cool air can creep in. Just about any type of yarn will make this scarf. I used Plymouth Encore. The touch of wool makes it warmer than one made of acrylic.
It is finished off in the front with a scallop edge. You could also put a eyelash along the edge to give is a furry look.
You can make the scarf longer or wider by adding additional yardage of yarn. The back of the hooded as some ease at the bottom edge to allow for hair. It is made all in one. The yarn is never broken. You just turn the work holding different sides facing up and continue crocheting.
