Hooded Gilet
This hooded gilet is perfect for milder weather is a great addition to any wardrobe. It is made with tubes so a really easy project for beginners and guidance is provided by me for anyone who requires an extra bit of help. Please message me if you have any questions.
I love the random colour changes in the yarn, making this a simple and effective design. Alternating block colours for each tube or using one colour will also be very effective. It looks great with buttons or left without for a more casual fit.
There is no crochet in the design of the pattern. However, if you would like to add the toggles, you will need to know how to make a basic chain.
This works up really fast on a 46 or 48 pin circular knitting machine. The trim is made on a 22 pin circular knitting machine. You can use any brand machine, such as the Addi or Sentro.
You will be joining your work with mattress stitch. I have not included a tutorial in this pattern on this basic join but I have tutorials on YouTube, and on my Facebook and Instagram pages on how to do this. It is a simple method and much easier to follow a video than written instructions.
You can use any yarn for this project. I have used Lion Brand Mandala Sparkle in Aquarius. I used just under 2.75x 150g cakes for a size large. This project will also work well with Aran yarn but you may have to choose a smaller size as the thickness of the yarn can affect the length of your tubes. Instructions on how to test this to ensure you select the correct size is detailed in the pattern. The pattern covers sizes S-XL or UK 8-20.
Supplies:

This is a full written pattern, with step by step instructions, with lots of pictures to help you with your project. Your pattern will be available to download as soon as your purchase is made.
