MATERIALS
• Premier Anti-Pilling Everyday DK light (DK) weight acrylic yarn
(31/2 oz/273 yds/100g per skein):
6 skeins #1107-01 white
90 yds #1107-26 black
2 yds #1107-37 carnation
• Size H/8/5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Size I/9/5.5mm crochet hook
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• Fiberfill
• Straight pins or clothespins
GAUGE
With smaller hook: 14 sts (7 dc, 7 sc) = 4 inches; 14 rows = 4 inches
Take time to check gauge.
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Place a stitch marker in first stitch of row or round and move
up as work progresses.
On blanket, and starting in row 3 of hood, last stitch is half double crochet instead of double crochet.
Do not start row with a turning chain unless otherwise instructed.
When crocheting black patch (face) on hood, each square, except the first, represents 1 stitch; work in established stitch pattern across chart.
Work chart with 3 skeins, the original white skein, 1 black skein and a 2nd white skein on opposite side of black. Do not cut or finish off black or 2nd white Single Crochet Color Change skein until work with each is complete. When changing color, leave color not in use on back side and bring it up to the next row where it will be used.
Chain-1 at beginning of row does not count as a stitch unless otherwise stated.
Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
