You are purchasing a pattern sized for Baby Alive®. There are three pieces to the pattern. A hoodie that is knitted in one piece from the top down, a pair of pants knitted from the bottom up, and a short sleeved ‘t shirt’ that is knitted from the bottom up and fastens with a button.

The hoodie has yarn threaded through the collar and pulled out both sides to look like a drawstring. The pants are finished with a k1p1 waistband so no elastic is necessary. The colored shirt shown in the picture on the yellow set is a free pattern available on my Ravelry site.

The edge of the hood and the front of the hoodie can be edged in either garter stitch or seed stitch. The gray one is done in garter and the yellow one in seed stitch. Garter stitch is easier and faster, where seed stitch is a slightly firmer finish. Whichever you use is just a matter of personal preference.

I have worked with multiple DK yarns. It is my favorite weight for doll clothes. I used Caron Simply Soft Light for the white and gray, and Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly for the yellow. The variegated yarn was a third brand. They are all slightly different, but for these patterns it really doesn’t matter.

I hope you enjoy making this as much as I enjoy designing it. I am focused on making easy to follow directions that knit up quickly and don’t use too many fancy stitches or color changes. Please email me if you have any issues with this pattern.
