I made this pattern with the “Wattle Stitch.”

It is not difficult, and can be made to whatever size you wish. I made mine more for a holder for crochet hooks, especially since I like experimenting with different kinds--so I have many singles that don’t come in kits/with their own particular holders.

This is what I believe is “easy” to make, however, you really need to watch your stitch count and watch your edges; it can be easy to drop stitches.
