If you’re a fan of Loops Original patterns, then you’ve probably heard of the Effin’ Scarf, Loops’ top selling knitting pattern. An easy pattern loved by new and experienced knitters alike.

Crocheters rejoice because you now have a crochet version that has similar drape and shape and is every bit as easy!

And, just like the Effin’ Scarf, you can use a myriad of different yarns to get that great stylish look!

About 200-250 yards of any smooth DK or light worsted yarn can be used for this scarf.

Using an 8-9mm hook with thin, smooth yarn gives you big lacey stitches and great loft and drape! You might even want to use a 10mm hook if you have a favorite smooth worsted or aran yarn that’s a little heavier.

This pattern also recommends the use of 2 locking stitch markers to mark the first stitch of each row. It’s a helpful step that you shouldn’t skip.
