According to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, a Hooloovoo is a super intelligent shade of the colour blue. While reading the book, I always pictured this particular colour to be dark blue with a slight fuzz around the edges. When I found a few balls of a dark and fuzzy shade of blue, I knew it: this is hooloovoo! This beret has been an excellent thinking cap ever since I finished it.

For this project you need to know how to knit and purl, how to do yarnovers and how to increase and decrease stitches. Being a terrible lace knitter, I am tremendously challenged in any project that involves only the tiniest yarnover. However, if you just follow the charts and count carefully, this hat shouldn’t be any problem.
