Hoopoe is based on the colors and patterns on the bird of its namesake, a majestic bird from Eurasia and Africa. The body is made with increases and decreases, and the wing patterns are made with short rows and slipped stitches.

In the sample pictured, I used just under 400 yards of the Show Stopper (shown in Copper Cloud and about 220 yards of the black (Darkest Hour), and 190 yards of the white (Nude Scene).
