Hop Scotch
The book describes this pattern as a
“Neat Fair-Isle pattern slipover and matching beret with a touch of class. It looks great worn with jeans.”
It’s a very cute little traditionally styled fair-isle sleeveless pullover for babies and toddlers.
The sizing is altered more by change of needle size than jigging with stitch numbers but there should be plenty of growing room if you add positive ease.
It’s very easy to convert the pattern for knitting in the round. It’s also a great stash buster as it uses up small scraps of yarn for the patterning.
You will need 1 (1,1, 1, 2, 2, 2) oz of the main colour and 1/2 oz scraps (or less) of 5 contrasting colours.
The pattern includes instructions for a beret, or tam.
