Hope Easter Egg
** Currently in testing! **
We always have such a surplus of Christmas decorations, but rarely have anything to fill the house with cheer at Easter.
So I designed the Hope Easter Egg Pouch & Decoration to remedy that. There’s something so special about a handmade decoration, but these ones combine both beauty and functionality – just fill the pouches with little treats and hide around the garden or house for your Easter egg hunt!
The pattern is suitable for beginner crocheters looking to try something new. It’s worked in rows, turning at the end, and you shouldn’t need to use st markers to keep track of your st count.
You’ll make 2 halves of the Easter egg, decorate one half and then continue around the outside to seam both halves together. You’re eggs will then be finished with a length of ribbon, tied at the front in a bow.
I’ve included a photo tutorial and some helpful video links to clarify what you’ll be doing at each stage and to make any new techniques and the construction as straightforward as possible.
When complete, your Easter eggs should measure about 2” / 5cm in width and 3” / 8cm in height, depending on your chosen yarn and how tightly you crochet.
