These are 3 patterns in one!
This design is inspired in the feeling we look for during difficult times. Hope is knitted in two pieces from the bottom up grafted together at the top. You´ll only have to seam the sides.
A very fun project with colorwork, lace and texture among other details.
For the less adventurous, I´m including as bonus two vanilla versions. It´s about the same amount of yarn, either in one color or as many as you want. It is so versatile, you could make it striped or color blocked. I personally love the sweatshirt look and feel of it. The vanilla versions start bottom-up but, end top-down.
My sample for the main version was knitted in pima and combed cotton and for the Vanilla version 1 I used acrylic. You can use ANY fingering weight yarn, given you meet gauge. For Vanilla version 2 the body is knitted top-down in the round.

Recommended ease: 15.5-20 CMS (6-8”) of positive ease throughout body.
If you want a roomier garment, select a bigger size. Or if you want a more fitted garment, select a smaller size. If you want a longer garment, you´ll need to plan for more yarn and make the center stockinette section longer as an easy fix for this personal preference.

Este diseño fue inspirado en lo que buscamos en momentos difíciles. Hope está tejido en plano, dos piezas que se unen en la parte alta de los hombros/brazos. Sólo tendrá que coser los laterales. Es un proyecto muy divertido, con colorwork, encaje, textura y otros detalles.

Para los menos aventureros, estoy incluyendo dos versiones vainilla. Es más o menos la misma cantidad de hilado, puede ser en un solo color, o lo pueden hacer rayado o con color blocking. Personalmente, me encanta el look y el sentimiento que tiene a sudadera. Las versiones vainilla comienzan de abajo hacia arriba y luego el cuerpo se teje de arriba hacia abajo.

Mi muestra para el diseño principal fue tejido en algodón pima y algodón peinado. La versión vainilla 1 la tejí en acrílico. Puedes usar CUALQUIER hilado grosor fingering siempre que obtengas la galga indicada en tu muestra de tensión. En la versión Vainilla 2 tejes el cuerpo de arriba hacia abajo en circular.

Holgura recomendada: 15.5-20 CMS (6-8”) de holgura positiva por todo el cuerpo. Si quieres una prenda más holgada, selecciona una talla más grande. Ó si quieres una prenda más ajustada, selecciona una talla más pequeña. Si quieres una prenda más larga, tendrás que planificar más hilado y alargar la parte central en punto de media.
