ABOUT THE PATTERN

The pattern comes as one PDF file with detailed instructions on everything you need to know to crochet Hope the Blue Whale. It can be followed step-by-step and is accompanied by photos for all the trickier parts.

Next to the written pattern, the PDF includes a list of all needed materials & tools, a table of all stitch types/abbreviations required for this pattern, and also a tutorial section with detailed explanations for some of the more unusual used stitches and techniques. The exact yarn colors & skein amounts I used are also included in the pattern.

If you find any typos, mistakes, or unclear parts, please let me know and I’ll do my best to correct & update the pattern!

ABOUT THE FINISHED WHALE

With the hook size (4mm) and yarn type (aran weight) I’m using, the final whale is around 28cm long, 8cm tall, and around 24cm wide (always measured at the widest part).
