10 cm stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm needles = 22 stitches
10 cm colourwork on 4 mm needles = 22 stitches

Most people knit tighter on colourwork than they do when they knit plain stockinette. I have therefore included in the pattern that you should go up half a needle size when you knit the pattern. Knitting tension varies from person to person, so always knit a test swatch before you start.

For summer use, you can use Line from Sandnes Yarns or Bamboo from Viking Yarns. Double sunday can also be used.

Needles: Double pointed needles (DPNs) 3 and 3.5 mm Circular needles 50 cm, 60 cm, and 80 cm (depending on size), 3 mm, 3.5 mm, and 4 mm
