Sometimes, when life is loud and complicated, and I just can’t seem to find quiet and calmness, I go out for a walk and look at the sky. A dusty blue paired with light gray clouds is what I will get most of the time here in northern Germany, and the flat landscape will give my eyes and my brain the simplicity I need. Especially when I take a stroll at the Baltic Sea shore, where the sight of the horizon never fails to have a soothing effect on me.
“Horizonte” (German: “horizons”) is the simple beauty of the sky, the clouds and the horizon turned knitting: Easy garter stitch with a couple of interesting twists and turns in the construction will provide you with a relaxing knitting time and a beautiful and warm result. Wearing it will remind you that the finest pleasures in life are simple – just like this shawl.

Measurements: Width 138 cm (55 in), Depth 59 cm (24 in)

Manchmal, wenn das Leben laut und kompliziert ist und ich einfach keine Ruhe finden kann, gehe ich raus in die Natur und sehe mir den Himmel an. Ein rauchiges Blau mit hellgrauen Wolken ist dann das, was ich hier in Norddeutschland an den meisten Tagen zu sehen bekomme. Zusammen mit der flachen Landschaft bekommen meine Augen und mein Hirn so die Ruhe und Einfachheit, die sie brauchen. Besonders wirksam ist ein Spaziergang am Ostseestrand, wo der Blick auf den Horizont immer einen beruhigenden Effekt auf mich hat. „Horizonte“ ist die wollegewordene schlichte Schönheit des Himmels, der Wolken und des Horizonts: Einfaches Kraus-Rechts mit ein paar spannenden Konstruktionselementen ergibt ein paar Stunden gemütliche Strickzeit und ein hübsches, warmes Ergebnis. „Horizonte“ zu tragen wird dich daran erinnern, dass die einfachsten Dinge oft die schönsten sind – so wie ein Spaziergang mit Blick auf den Horizont. Und wie dieses Tuch!

Garn: Blacker Swan 4-ply, 100 g in der Hauptfarbe (“Horizon Blue”), 50 g in der Kontrastfarbe (“Pale Maiden”).

Maße des Tuchs wie abgebildet: Länge 138 cm, Tiefe 59 cm (diese Größe wird nur bei korrekter Maschenprobe erreicht - hier ist mein Blogpost zu diesem Thema). Die Anleitung enthält Angaben dazu, wie das Tuch größer gestrickt werden kann.
