- Worsted weight yarn - I used Lion Brand Yarn, Fishermen’s Wool, 100% pure wool, 227g | 8 ounces, 465 yards | 425 metres in colour Natural.
- 4 removable stitch markers
- Measuring tape
- Scissors and tapestry needle

The Hornby vest is worked bottom-up. Crocheted in the round for the most part, but separating the front and back to work flat from the underarm up to the neckline. To finish, ribbing is added to the armholes, neckline, with a ribbed split hem at the bottom.
Shoulders are joined together with single crochet stitches.
