This pattern can be done with almost any weight of yarn imaginable. I held two strands together, but any worsted or light worsted would do. To make the foal, use a smaller needle size and lighter weight yarn. Because this is stuffed, be sure to go down a couple needle sizes from the recommended needle on the ball band. You will also need unspun wool for the stuffing.
