Horse Leg Christmas Stocking
I first got the idea for this pattern when I saw a sewn horse leg stocking in a crafting group I am in on Facebook. I bought the fabric for it, then couldn’t motivate myself to sew it, so, I wrote a crochet pattern for it.
This pattern calls for a H/5.0 mm hook and worsted weight yarn.
This pattern is for one size, it measures approximately 16” tall by 7” wide at the widest point (cannon bone).
The surface crochet lettering is optional, I put my horse’s name on it.
The difficulty of this pattern is intermediate to advanced. I use several special stitches. Links to videos of those special stitches are provided. I borrowed several stitches from Megan Lapp: Crafty Intentions because she is a genius with shaping.
This pattern has been tested.
