Note: Taupe Blanket Gauge is listed as 9 stitches + 12 rows = 4” in stocking stitch using the exact same Needle & yarn & creates the exact same size blanket as the red blanket with exact same instructions for both. The red blanket gauge shows 8 stitches + 13 rows = 4 inches in stocking stitch. Difference in gauge is most likely the result of different test knitters.
