Hortencia
Sophisticated and simple, Hortencia is an easy-to-knit seamless cardigan that works equally well with sleek pencil skirts and fun, full-skirted dresses. The upper back is knit first and placed on hold. Stitches are picked up from the cast-on edge and knit down to create the fronts. The fronts and back are joined when the underarm stitches are cast on, and the body is knit down in one piece. Sleeves stitches are picked up around the armholes, shaped using short rows, and worked downwards to the cuff. Next, stitches for the button band and collar are picked up around the deep v-neck and worked at the same time using short rows to shape the garter stitch collar.
The sweater is best worn with 2-0 in of negative ease.
