Snuggle sacks and whimsical blankets have been the rage lately from sharks to mermaid tails. I’ve made several varieties myself, so it’s no surprise it finally dawned on me to make a hot air balloon blanket! The “basket” makes a perfect pocket to keep toes covered (and holds the folded blanket when not in use), and the “envelope” is big enough to wrap around!

This pattern works up quickly, but stitch markers are helpful.

Materials:
• Bernat Blanket, Bernat Baby Blanket, Bernat Blanket Brights yarn

• 1 ball White
• 1 ball Caramel (for basket)
• 2 balls Seafoam
• 1 ball Lemon Lime
• 1 ball Baby Teal

• Size P (12.0 mm) hook
