There are 4 sizes in the pattern by stitch count, 60, 64, 68, and 72. My foot is 8” round and I made the 60 stitch size. It is easy to make smaller sizes, just mark off however many columns on each side of the chart and cast on accordingly. Gauge is not crucial if you know what gauge and stitch count are usually good for you.

The ridges in the pattern makes it very easy to keep track of where you are and when you need to make the cable.
