Shawl is square shaped, so it lies on the shoulders nicely which makes it easy to wear since it won’t slip.

Pattern is worked by knitting garter stitch sections, which are separated by various stockinette and simple lace stitch sections. Shawl is finished with a knitted on lace border.

The original shawl is knitted in worsted weight handspun. One can substitute any worsted/aran weight yarn.

If you would like to make the shawl larger (or smaller) simply add (or subtract) stockinette stitch or lace stitch sections separated by garter stitch sections.
