Hot Line is a generously sized triangle shawl that combines some of my favorite things: sections of textural garter stitch, faux-brio stitch (knit one below), and fun color garter stripes. Knit from tip-to-tip, this shawl has long tapered ends that create a large asymmetrical triangle shape that is easy to wear.

Hot Line is a part of the HOT Series, designed for those who don’t quite have the time to pick up and practice the brioche technique, this shawl works panels of faux brioche also known as fisherman’s rib. This simple stitch has you working in the row below, no need to learn new abbreviations or stitches!

Materials:
Yarn: Baah La Jolla (100% Superwash Merino 400yards/115grams)
Color 1 (C-1): Falling in Love, 1 skein/ 200 yards
Color 2 (C-2): Pink Tourmaline, 1 skein/ 40 yards
Color 3 (C-3): Georgia Peach, 1 skein/ 250 yards
Color 4 (C-4): California Coast, 1 skein/ 275 yards
Color 5 (C-5): Brazilian Emerald, 1 skein/ 300 yards
Color 6 (C-6): Blue Topaz, 1 skein/ 250 yards

Needles: US 2/2.75mm, US4/3.5mm 32” circular needles & US 7/4.5mm for bind off
Notions: 1 Stitch Markers, Tapestry needle, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking
Gauge: 16 stitches = 4 inches in Faux Brio stitch after blocking.
Finished size: 110” wingspan x 30” deep after blocking.
