Hot Mesh
Hot Mesh - is a reversible lace scarf, worked in thicker yarn to show off the wonderful 3D texture of honeycomb mesh.
The scarf is a rectangular shape, knitted from one end to
another in garter stitch lace. There are no complicated stitches. The size is easy to adjust. The pattern can be worked from the written instructions or chart.
Skills: knit, yo, k2tog.
YARN: Miss Babs Yowza in Dancing Spirit
(100% SW Merino wool, 560 yd / 225 g)
Or any similar DK weight yarn, approx 400-500 yds
NEEDLES: US 6 (4 mm)
NOTIONS: darning needle, 2 markers in different colors,
crochet hook (optional), locking marker (optional)
GAUGE: 16 sts x 28 rows = 4” in pattern. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will affect the yardage and finished size if different from above.
SAMPLE: length 90”, width 8”, approx. 460 yds
