Wool-crochet Squares - Use Them for Rugs, Shawls, Water-bag Covers!
Designed for the Mirror by Maida Vale, the hot-water bottle cover illustrated shows a use for crochet squares. A rug and cover could be made to match.
Use for the bag-cover light and dark wool in alternate rows, commencing with the darker shade. Two shades of rose or green make a nice rug and bottle-cover. Blue and white are suitable for pram or cot-covers, and white wool and ivory silk would make a handsome shawl.
- 4-ply sock yarn, 20g balls: 2 x dark colour and 2 x light colour
- 3.25 crochet hook
- Each motif measures 9cm square. 15 motilfs needed.
