The Houndstooth Beanie is worked first with the band/brim and then the top of the beanie is added on top of the brim. You don’t cut yarn at the end of each row! And you DO NOT CARRY YARN across the stitches!! At the end of each row you drop one color and then pick up the next. This pattern was carefully worked to make things easy on the stitcher and still have fun playing with colors! I hope you enjoy this pattern…it’s been a year in the making!
