The houndstooth pattern was very popular in the 1930s and 40s and is popular again today for that vintage or retro look.

These mittens are easy and fun to make using a soft worsted weight yarn. They work up really fast. I have done all the math and calculations for you in order for these mittens to turn out great, so all you have to do is sit back and crochet yourself a hip pair of mittens. Stitch counts are noted at the end of every row. There are only a few ends to weave in when you have them completed.
