These slippers grew out of a need for indoor footwear that would be durable and long-lasting. They would be great for gifting or keeping, and they knit up so quickly that it would not be out of the question to make several and keep them in a basket by the front door for guests.

This quick to knit bootie pattern is sized for the whole family from infant to adult man. It is a firmly gauged top-down sock with three design options. It can be made with a round/ribbed cuff, a split-ribbed cuff and/or with cables on the ribs. Cable placement is your choice!

The yarn choice is easily changed: the only criteria is the gauge. They work up in heavy worsted or aran weight held double. And they look great in tweed, variegated or smooth yarns. You could even put some novelty yarn at the cuff for variety.
