These simple chunky garter stitch mittens are inspired by the clothing from everyone’s favourite wizarding stories. The gloves are knit flat in a chunky weight yarn in two colours. The thumb gusset is created using some simple increases and then the stitches are put on hold ready for working later on. The rest of the glove body is knit and then shaped with some simple decreases before binding off and picking up the stitches for the thumb; which is shaped in a similar way. To finish, the glove is seamed together using mattress stitch and ends are weaved in, as instructed. These mittens are a quick and fun project to get you started on your knitting journey. See Size Guide for intended fit instructions.
